I did a survey of over 2400 readers of American Baby and Parents magazine recently and found that most find their parenting information online. (That’s to my chagrin as the author of 23 parenting books!) I realize moms are pressed for time and the web is a quick way to find information. I also realize that a lot of what’s available online is not always based on accurate or late-breaking child development findings.
That’s why I’m excited that mommyperks has launched a fabulous new parenting/mommy site. You’ll find a wide-variety of articles from special needs, reading & literacy, parenting, working from home and even fun tips. Topics include: How to talk to your kids about ADHD, Keep your kids safe from sexting, Safe websites for kids, Recommended reading, Raising empathic kids and even Solutions for the “I’m so bored!” blues.
That’s not all: there are blogs, give aways, perks and even cute kid contests. But the best part is that the website is owned and hosted by one incredible lady (and mom!) : Shara Lawrence-Weiss.
